February Energetic & Astrological Forecast

February Energetic & Astrological Forecast

Hello February

February is a month of preparation as March is a BIG month of transformation and if you have felt off lately or encountering random bouts of different emotions, it is in order to create “space” for what is aligned for your highest good (even though it may not feel that way). Some of the themes for February are of Love and self-expression as  February is often associated with self-love and romantic love (with Valentine’s Day in the mix). Spiritually, this is a time to reflect on your relationship with yourself and how you express, give and receive love in your life. We are being encouraged to work on spiritual reflection, emotional healing, and alignment with higher consciousness. It’s a time to set intentions that align with your dreams and intuitive guidance. The transits also amplify confidence and self-expression, with the opportunity to embrace creative power and celebrate your unique contributions to the world.  February often feels like a transitional month as winter wanes and spring approaches (in the Northern Hemisphere) and is a spiritual reminder to align with nature’s cycles, preparing for growth and renewal in the coming months.

Uranus was retrograde until January 30, in Taurus, Jupiter is retrograde now until Feb. 4 in Gemini, and Mars is retrograde until Feb. 23 in Leo and Cancer.

This period of overlapping retrogrades involves Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars, bringing a powerhouse of transformative energy.

Uranus Retrograde in Taurus (until January 30, 2025)

Themes were:
invited us to revisit and reflect on areas related to personal values, finances, stability, and our connection to the material world. Taurus, a fixed earth sign, resists change, while Uranus, the planet of innovation, pushes for revolution. This retrograde may have brought internal shifts, encouraging us to redefine what "security" and "freedom" mean to us. It was a time of reassessing innovations or changes in personal or societal structures (relationships), reflecting on how to create sustainable growth in your life and reflecting on unresolved financial or relationship matters that may have come to the forefront.

Jupiter Retrograde in Gemini (until February 4, 2025)

Themes:
Jupiter in Gemini focuses on expanding knowledge, communication, and intellectual pursuits. When retrograde, this energy turns inward, encouraging deep reflection on your beliefs, communication style, and learning habits. This supports us in reevaluating educational goals or ways of thinking, reflecting on how you communicate and whether your words align with your values and a time to reassess opportunities or decisions related to travel, education, and social connections.

Mars Retrograde in Leo and Cancer (until February 23, 2025)

Themes in Leo:
Mars retrograde in Leo turns the fiery, creative energy inward. It’s a time to reflect on how you express your individuality, passion, and leadership. You might feel less motivated to take bold actions and more inclined to revisit old creative projects or unresolved ego-related matters in order to validate and heal them. As Mars shifts into Cancer during its retrograde, the energy becomes more emotional and protective. You may reflect on family dynamics, emotional boundaries, and how you assert yourself in nurturing or domestic settings. A time of reassessing how you pursue your goals and express your desires, addressing unresolved conflicts, particularly in areas related to self-expression (Leo) and emotional security (Cancer), and experiencing a slowed momentum, prompting you to rethink strategies before taking action.

This Combined Retrograde Influence

With Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars retrograde simultaneously:

Reflection and Growth: This is a powerful period for deep introspection. Old patterns, beliefs, and behaviors come under review, especially regarding individuality (Uranus), learning and communication (Jupiter), and action or assertiveness (Mars).

Challenges: You might feel slowed or blocked in external progress, which is beneficial as it is forcing you to turn inward and address internal resistance or unresolved issues, making way for needed and healthy changes.

It is important to ask yourself questions like: How can I balance change with stability (Uranus in Taurus)? Am I communicating my truth effectively (Jupiter in Gemini)? How do I assert myself authentically while nurturing my emotional needs (Mars in Leo/Cancer)? Where do I need to release attachments?

The combined impact of these Planets going direct in close proximity to each other has a profound energy. Each retrograde has a shadow period (retroshade), before and after a retrograde occurs which is an important phase of each transit as it offers a time of deeper reflection and opportunity for healing.

These retrograde phases during February are a potent opportunity to align your inner world with your long-term goals, setting a strong foundation for forward movement once these planets go direct and support the energy of deep transformation.

Key importance of these retrogrades:

Renewed Momentum: The shift from introspection to external progress allows you to take concrete steps toward the goals and changes you’ve been reflecting on.

Integration of Insights: The lessons learned during retrogrades (reassessing values, beliefs, and actions) can now be applied practically.

Transformation and Breakthroughs: As these planets go direct, breakthroughs are more likely in areas tied to their themes (stability and innovation with Uranus, growth and communication with Jupiter, and action and passion with Mars).

Throughout January, many felt a sense of feeling stuck or nothing particular happening and perhaps not making much progress, which has been due partially to Mars in Retrograde, which was especially active through the month of January. Mars Retrograde can instill a feeling that we are taking one step forward only to have to take two steps backward. It has challenged us to let go of old, outdated patterns, people, places and things, that drain and deplete us in order to make way for a new, more energized way of being. We have been and continue to receive energy upgrades and are recalibrating, while we become more conscious of what we choose to give our energy,  time and attention to. This is not for the faint at heart as it is very powerful energy, so even if it feels like you're not making much progress in the outer world, on an inner level, you are doing intense work. When the full moon on January 13th rises in Cancer it will shine a spotlight on our home and family life, leaning us feeling pulled in many directions with our home life. Pay attention to what is coming up for you in this area, as it’s likely connected to your Mars in Retrograde lessons and what needs to be recalibrated.
