January 2026 — Energy Overview

FULL MOON AND NEW MOON

January 3rd — Full Moon in Cancer

This Full Moon brings emotional themes to the forefront, care, home, family, security, emotional belonging, and inner nourishment. This is a joyful full moon offering the light of positive change surrounding family, emotions, home, urging introspection, self care, and asking us to release old attachments to allow new growth. This moon encourages you to embrace your vulnerability as strength, balance ambition and need and know what you “believe” you create in your human experience.

Spiritual Theme

  • A release of what no longer serves your emotional foundation. This is a cleansing moon that invites gentleness with what has felt unresolved all year. A time to slow down and truly feel your emotions  while honoring emotional rest and recalibration.

  • It supports heart recalibration, especially around what makes you feel safe, nurtured, and grounded. Open to emotional breakthroughs and authentic heartfelt perspectives for the coming months.

How to Work With It

  • Sit with your feelings without pushing them away, trying to rationalize them, mocking them or distracting yourself from “feeling”. You need to feel, in order to deal so that you can fully heal.

  • Reflect on what emotional patterns you’re ready to release and feel appreciation for what you have already released.

  • Practice compassion-focused breathing and allow yourself to feel closure rather than force answers. This moon is all about flow over force

  • Don’t start new projects, make hasty or emotionally charged decisions, allow overreactions or be led by the unhealed ego

January 6th - Venus Cazimi

A Collective Heart Reset

A Venus Star Point occurs when Venus meets the Sun at the same degree — a cazimi, meaning Venus is “in the heart of the Sun.” Spiritually, this is one of the most potent moments in any cycle for values, love, worth, and relational truth to be re-seeded. This is not a loud or dramatic transit. It is quietly catalytic.

Venus governs:

  • love and relationships

  • self-worth and values

  • harmony, beauty, and pleasure

  • how we receive and how we allow

When Venus meets the Sun:

  • old Venus cycles complete

  • a new heart frequency is encoded

  • values are reoriented at a soul level

This is a reset of the relational field within the self first, then outward and a recalibration of self worth. Many are realizing where they have undervalued themselves, where love was conditional, where giving outweighed receiving and this Star Point quietly asks:

“What do you now know you deserve?”

Not in an egoic way and it asks it without judgment.

Relationships Shift from Survival to Truth

Connections rooted in:

  • obligation

  • fear of loss

  • over-accommodation

Continue to feel unsustainable as the pressure for truth pushes harder but not because something is “wrong”, but because the heart has matured and seeks truth and authenticity.

This transit supports:

  • honest reassessment

  • cleaner healthy boundaries

  • deeper self-respect/ authentic self love

Venus is the feminine archetype of receptivity, magnetism, embodied wisdom, harmony through truth. This Star Point strengthens the inner feminine in all beings, regardless of gender, helping to restore self-trust, intuition, the right to rest and receive. This directly supports the Great Recalibration, because balance cannot return without honoring the feminine current.

This is a time where once and for all your values become non-negotiable. After this point, many will notice less tolerance for misalignment, clearer yes/no responses, a desire for simplicity over intensity, this is not emotional shutdown, It is emotional coherence.

Why This Star Point Matters in January

January is not a true beginning — it is an orientation phase

The Venus Star Point helps determine:

  • how we will relate in the year ahead

  • what we are no longer willing to sacrifice

  • where we will choose mutuality

It seeds the heart tone that future actions will grow from, especially once spring activation arrives.

Work with This Energy

  • Choose honesty over harmony-for-approval

  • Let go of relationships and/or patterns that require self-abandonment, sacrifice, feel chaotic, unstable or where you feel misunderstood or have to walk on eggshells

  • Reclaim pleasure without guilt

  • Practice receiving support, rest, kindness, unconditional love - it's time to embrace reciprocal relationships and energy that supports your peace

Even small acts of self-honoring align you with this reset. The collective heart is recalibrating, not through force, but through truth.

January 12 — Pluto Enters Pre-Shadow in Aquarius (ahead of his retrograde)

Pluto in Aquarius continues deep structural transformation in collective systems, values, technology, social paradigms, and power structures. Pluto’s pre-shadow stage signals the start of a long internal–external shift. This can be an intense period of deconstruction and deconditioning  asking you to confront the shadow side of any collective outdated programming as you build your dreams. It can represent the shadow of the collective mindset and where you must purge any outdated belief systems, societal programming and illusions in order to fully embrace an authentic future built from wholeness and joyful expansion.

Spiritual Theme

  • A collective initiation into deeper truth. Old ways of navigating power, identity, and interconnectedness are loosening.

  • This period begins a multi-year process of returning inner authority to the individual soul rather than external systems.

  • It is a deconstruction of the false self in order to strip away everything that has kept you from your true authenticity

  • It also pushes us to shift away from ego-centric desires and focus on the truth of how YOU want to live and how that benefits your existence and also that of the collective. We are being asked to shift from a place of egoic greed into soul-led expansion

How to Work With It

  • Notice where old power patterns show up in your life (protectiveness, control, external validation).

  • Choose truth over safety in small moments.

  • Engage in practices that cultivate sovereignty (e.g., grounding, journaling, conscious breathwork).

January 18th — New Moon in Capricorn

This New Moon is excellent for clear intention-setting around career, long-term building, structure, discipline, and embodied focus.  This New Moon is a wonderful time to assess your healthy foundations and visualize your long term goals as the version of you who is already “living the dream”. This Moon asks you to commit to your authentic visions and personal mastery through honoring your truth in order to manifest your hearts desires into your reality. It’s time to build a life that reflects your core values, truth and authentic self over external status.

Spiritual Theme

  • A practical reset. This lunation supports disciplined spiritual action: turning inner clarity into grounded steps.

  • Capricorn (Earth sign), supports materializing and turning vision into solid structure

  • Refine healthy boundaries and take conscious control over your journey ahead through choosing to be the architect of your life.

  • Take time to redefine what success truly means to you and how it looks in your life

How to Work With It

  • Set intentions that have long term sustainability (spring intentions that grow slowly and securely).

  • Anchor your goals in healthy practices (routine, healthy boundaries, consistency).

  • Journal about what real success means to you in 2026, beyond societal expectations.

January 19th — Sun Enters Aquarius

The Sun moves into Aquarius, highlighting innovation, community, collective vision, and individuality aligned with group purpose. This marks the transition from the structured disciplined energy of Capricorn to a focus on innovation, collective consciousness and radical freedom. This transit is especially potent because the Sun immediately aligns with Pluto (which recently entered Aquarius for a 20 year stay), which intensifies the need for massive change in society and how we can shift to a more compassionate community based structure

Spiritual Theme

  • This shift invites you to think less about “me vs. you” and more about we in a higher purpose. Aquarius invites expansive, future–oriented consciousness.

  • With the strong push to be our most authentic selves, this asks us to challenge “societal norms” and choose to embrace our unique gifts

  • An ideal time for setting intentions (especially as this aligns with the New Moon), with future focused vision and long term goals and dreams

How to Work With It

  • Engage in groups that align with your values or goals (no pressure, quality over quantity).

  • Think in terms of generative contribution rather than competition.

  • Explore new ideas for social or creative collaboration.

  • Volunteer with soul-aligned organizations

January Journal Prompts

What has quietly changed within me over the past year, even if others cannot see it?

What no longer feels true, sustainable, or aligned — and how does my body respond when I name that?

What lessons am I still integrating rather than “closing”?

Where am I ready to live more honestly with myself, without self-judgment?

What parts of me feel relieved now that I no longer need to explain or prove myself?

What does my inner truth sound like when it speaks gently instead of urgently?

What does true rest look like for me right now — not avoidance, but restoration?

Where in my life can I simplify to create more inner calm?

What signals does my body give me when I am moving too fast?

What am I curious about “becoming” this year, without needing a plan yet?

What values do I want to anchor into before taking outward action?

If I trusted timing completely, what would I release right now?

January Affirmations

January is about quality, not quantity.

I honor rest as a sacred part of my becoming.

I allow clarity to arrive without forcing direction.

My nervous system is safe to slow down.

I trust the quiet integration happening within me.

I do not rush what is still forming.

My truth is allowed to evolve.

I move forward when my body and spirit agree.

Peace is productive.

I begin this year from wholeness, not lack.
